cindy researches 21st century literacies and rhetorics of gender and computing technologies as a doctoral student at Arizona State University. she is a graduate teaching associate in the Department of English where she designs courses featuring digital identity construction, collective memory and intelligence, passionate affinity spaces, and digital design as rhetoric. a chapter on collaborative learning and writing in digital environments she co-authored with Yazmin Lazcano-Pry and Duane Roen appears in Kathleen Hunzer’s edited collection Collaborative Learning and Writing: Essays on Using Small Groups in Teaching English and Composition. she has some pretty smart industry awards too having done her time in the dot com trenches.
